Healing goals for skin problems, inflammation & detoxification weakness

Anti-inflammatory effects in tissues and on the skin surface. Activation of the elimination organs: liver, kidneys, skin, lymphatic system, and intestines. Restoration of a healthy gut flora as a foundation for healthy skin. Protection of cell membranes and promotion of skin renewal. Balancing of the acid-base balance. Calming of the immune system in cases of neurodermatitis, acne, and eczema.

🪥 This is how your skin and liver are connected

The skin is the body's largest organ and also an important excretory organ – small amounts of metabolic waste products are constantly being transported away via sweat and sebum. If the liver, the main detoxification organ, is overloaded, some of this excretory work visibly shifts to the skin.

At the same time, the skin is sensitive to inflammatory processes throughout the body: Circulating inflammatory mediators can alter sebum production, weaken the skin barrier, and exacerbate existing skin problems. A stressed liver and an excess of inflammatory signals thus directly affect the skin's appearance.

The next section shows how the liver and skin barrier can be specifically relieved through diet.

Breakfast - Skin nutrients & alkalizing

Recommended: Millet or buckwheat porridge with grass-fed milk, cinnamon, berries, and flaxseed. One glass of lukewarm lemon water or water with apple cider vinegar. Green tea or mild herbal tea (e.g., nettle, horsetail). Avoid: Skim milk, almond milk, bread with spreads, or sausage.

Lunch - Liver-friendly & anti-inflammatory

Steamed or lightly sautéed vegetables: broccoli, zucchini, beets, carrots. Lentils, quinoa, or millet as alkaline side dishes. Salad with apple cider vinegar, arugula, dandelion greens, and pumpkin seeds. Olive oil., turmeric, Parsley and thyme help reduce inflammation. Extra tip: Cooked beetroot, caraway, and turmeric strengthen the liver and blood production.

Snack time - alkaline & antioxidant snacks

Ripe banana or pear. Unsalted walnuts or almonds. Dandelion herbal tea or artichoke tea. 1 tsp zeolite or bentonite (rich in minerals, traditionally used to aid digestion - stirred into water).

Dinner - lymph-stimulating & regenerating

Vegetable stew with sweet potato, celery, leek, and parsley. Spelt bread with cottage cheese or avocado. 1 tsp black cumin seed oil (anti-inflammatory). Tea made from horsetail, nettle, or calendula. Avoid: raw foods, sugar, processed foods, trans fats, and animal fat in the evening.
