Healing goals for mental exhaustion, restlessness and lack of concentration

Improved blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain, support of nerve function, promotion of inner peace and stress resistance, reduction of mental exhaustion and brain fog.

🧠 This is how your brain works when you're mentally exhausted

The prefrontal cortex – the area directly behind the forehead – is responsible for concentration, planning, and impulse control. It is also one of the most energy-intensive areas of the brain and is particularly sensitive to fluctuations in blood sugar, sleep, and the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine, which are responsible for focus and alertness.

If stress persists for an extended period, the body's stress axis (HPA axis) remains permanently activated, which suppresses the prefrontal cortex in favor of older, reflex-oriented brain regions. The result: concentration, memory, and mental stamina noticeably decline – a protective mechanism of the body that, however, becomes problematic under chronic stress.

The next section shows how this mental balance can be specifically supported through nutrition throughout the day.

Nutrition throughout the day

Breakfast: Eggs with avocado and spelt bread, lemon water, rosemary tea. Lunch: Steamed vegetables with millet or quinoa, wild salmon or organic egg, rosemary and turmeric. Evening: Sweet potato with vegetables, calming passionflower or valerian tea. Avoid: Skim milk, almond milk, energy drinks.
