Naturally accompany PMS
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) affects many women, causing physical and emotional discomfort before menstruation. Diet and lifestyle can help alleviate these symptoms.

🌜 How your hormones fluctuate throughout your cycle
After ovulation, progesterone rises significantly, while estrogen drops slightly. If pregnancy does not occur, both hormones fall again in the second half of the cycle. This fluctuation, particularly the relatively rapid drop in progesterone shortly before menstruation, is precisely what is associated with typical PMS symptoms.
Progesterone, via its breakdown product allopregnanolone, also influences GABA receptors in the brain—the same receptors responsible for calmness and inner peace. A rapid drop in progesterone directly impacts this calming mechanism, potentially leading to irritability and mood swings. Simultaneously, magnesium is closely linked to receptor function and the overall neurohormonal interplay during this phase of the menstrual cycle.
That is precisely why the first approach below – a magnesium-rich diet – directly addresses this hormonal-neurological interplay.
Magnesium-rich diet
magnesium It is traditionally used to relieve PMS symptoms such as cramps.
Chaste tree
Traditionally used to support female hormonal balance.

It can alleviate mood swings and water retention.
warmth
A hot water bottle can noticeably relieve abdominal cramps.
Reduce sugar and caffeine
Both can exacerbate mood swings and irritability.
Important NOTE
In cases of very severe symptoms (e.g. PMDD), a medical evaluation is recommended.
